Assistance with Kiyo Pro freezing/crashing usb inputs

Same problem here. Whenever I’d adjust the settings tot he Kiyo Pro within OBS, it was cause the Kiyo to freeze, then all my USB devices would disconnect and all the LEDs would go off. A few seconds later, everything would return as it was, except the Kiyo.

I have to unplug and plug it back in to get to work, and even that was 50% chance it would work without rebooting my PC.

I too have had this issue since the day I bought it, I just learned NOT to mess with the settings, when I remembered.

I thought I might just have a faulty Kiyo, as it was purchased used from eBay. So I bought another one. EXACT same issues. I was starting to think my motherboard might be freaking out, if TWO Kiyo’s had the same issue. But since others are having this problem, I don’t believe my motherboard is the cause, thankfully.

Needless to say, I threw the webcam away. I couldn’t in good conscience sell it, in case the buyer had the same faults. So I introduced it to a hammer… it won’t bother anyone any more.

Just realized I never circled back to this. My issue was definitely Synapse. Installed it and all of the problems came back. As long as Synapse is not running the camera is perfectly stable but once I fire it up all hell breaks loose.
