Audio changes | Razer Insider

Hello, I've recently had some trouble with my Razer headphones, I've asked other users on Reddit about it and it seems a few others have this problem, most if not all of them have Razer Headphones so I'm assuming it's a problem within the synapse.

Recently, for 2-3 weeks I've been having trouble with the audio coming from my headphones, especially on Discord. Whenever I join a call, the volume raises and it's really loud, the actual volume in the settings doesn't raise, the settings say its on around 10% but it sure does sound like over 70%. I'm getting "earraped" as it's called, sometimes, not only is the sound louder but the audio is distorted. The only way to fix it is by leaving the call and joining a different one then joining back, I thought there might've been a problem with discord but all the settings seem to be right, this may be due to the latest synapse update since some of my friends who also have Razer headphones don't experience the same thing but they haven't updated it recently. The only other times this happens is when I download a new game and start it up but I can simply lower the settings in the game. So, I'm still not sure if it's discord malfunctioning or a setting in the Synapse that's interfering with discord. Here's a post I made in the r/discordapp subreddit

https://www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/fhrfrz/random_volume_changes/

I came to the forums first before emailing Razer since It can always just be some minor setting.

Thank you to everyone who responds in advance!
Hello.

I have the same issue and it started at the same time.

I have very loud sound, randomly when using a communication software. I had this problem on Discord and when using MS TEAMS with my company laptop.

Seems related to Razer Synapse.

Thanks
Hi,

Same here, though it has been like this for a while now...
Hey everyone! Thanks for posting your audio concerns here. Please connect the headset to a different port or computer and see if the issue persists. Try other audio-related programs and see to isolate it. If the headset's issue persists, please send me a PM together with your headset's serial number. I'll take it from there.
