Axon wallpapers not showing

Up until now I’ve enjoyed using Axon for my wallpapers.  I like how each one generates its own colour schemes and patterns for my keyboard and mouse.

Today, it stopped working.  None of the static wallpapers in my library are showing on my desktop, only the dynamic ones seem to work.  All I see when I apply a static one is a plain grey background.  The LED effects on my keyboard and mouse still seem to work fine, it’s only the background that isn’t working.

I’ve seen other posts saying that switching the performance setting from webview2 to Windows Media Foundation seems to solve the problem but when I checked, my settings were already on WMF.   I’ve even tried switching to webview2 and rebooting and nothing changed.

Hello the new Update 2.3.3.0 Has fixed the issue on all my systems! Im not sure what it did but i think you guys figured it out! Thank you so much!

 

I’ve been working with Kangaroo621 and I think we found the solution, just be sure get the latest update to 2.3.3.0 that just released today 6/5/2025.

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER UPDATING THE AXON STATIC WALLPAPERS DISPLAY GREY

Reporting the same issue on 2 pcs, and 1 laptop, Axon is not working on any images. Colors rgb chrome work.


i m from holland (Netherlands) and have the same issue, after updating yesterday. Hopefully Razer will come with a quick fix. 


Mater the fact, there a to many updates from razer...almost Daily 😕

I bought the full set just for the beautiful themed desktop background and matching RGB lighting. It really upsets me to experience such a ridiculous problem.

Same problem here, the old wallpapers I added to by library work properly, however new ones since (I guess yesterday) do not work at all. 

Is there any page where Razer devs announce that they are working on the problem or if they are aware of the problem ?

Still broken. Black screen for all wallpapers but lighting works. Please update us.

  2. Collect your app log via our log tool, here is the log collection guidance: How to get Razer Axon logs

It's due to the latest update to the Axon Software... Ever since the last update, I'd imagine just about everyone using Axon is having the same problem... Before the update, it was working fine...

I'll try when I'm not on my phone. In the meantime I hope it being in the support forum it can still help find a fix

UPDATE

I sent in the support ticket as Kangaroo621 suggested and I’ve gotten a few emails back from Razer support.  They suggested a few steps like checking for updates to Windows and Axon (there weren’t any) and reinstalling Axon using the ‘repair’ button in the control panel.  I tried all of these and nothing changed which confirms that the problem isn’t with my computer, especially since everyone else here seems to be having the same problem.

The last email I got from them said “We assure you that we are actively working on resolving the issue. Our team will contact you within the next 24 - 48 hours to provide an update and discuss the next steps.”  This was almost a day ago now so hopefully we’ll know something soon.
