Hello,

I managed to get my Razer Barracuda headset working with the RC30-0378 dongle on Windows 11.

Initial symptoms

  • The headset worked correctly over Bluetooth.

  • The headset worked correctly when connected via the 3.5 mm audio jack.

  • Windows recognized the USB dongle without any conflicts in Device Manager.

  • Whenever the dongle was connected, YouTube videos would not start, and audio playback in VLC would freeze.

  • Windows Sound Settings would freeze whenever the dongle was connected.

Here is what I did to fix the problem

1. Uninstall all Razer Barracuda devices

With the dongle connected, open Device Manager and uninstall all Razer Barracuda devices listed under the following categories:

  • Software components

  • Sound, video and game controllers

  • Audio inputs and outputs

  • Audio Processing Objects (APOs)

  • Human Interface Devices (HID)

2. Remove all hidden Razer devices

Still in Device Manager:

  • Click View → Show hidden devices.

  • In the same categories listed above, uninstall all remaining greyed-out devices related to Razer Barracuda.

3. Disconnect the dongle and restart the computer

Once all the devices have been removed, unplug the dongle and restart your computer.

4. Download and run the pairing utility

Download the following utility:

RazerAudioPairingUtility_v1.12.07_r4

Run the utility and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Reconnect the dongle

When instructed by the utility, connect the dongle, preferably directly to the motherboard's USB-C port, without using a USB hub or USB-C dock.

Follow the utility's instructions to complete the pairing process.

The headset should now work correctly.

I hope this helps anyone experiencing the same issue!
