After I installed the razer driver and enabled the surround sound, Spotify just keeps pausing after 2 seconds. Can someone help me fix this?

Forgot to mention, the headphones are new, and also there's no sound from using Bluetooth.

found your comment because i’m having the same issue with Spotify. seeing as you’ve had them for three months, I’m hoping you’ve been able to notice a pattern of some sort, or way to go about it?

as for the volume level, i had that too but fixed by going to “Sound Control Panel” on the PC and bumping the volume there

I have the same issue… tried reinstalling drivers no luck

Hello, i have same problem and found that it’s not problem with Barracuda’s but with spotify, Playback gets paused if Bluetooth headset is conne... - The Spotify Community. Meny peoples have this problem with meny diffrent headset’s while having spotify on more then 1 device.

  1. Check Compatibility: Ensure that the Razer driver and its surround sound feature are compatible with your version of Spotify and your operating system.

  2. Update Drivers and Apps:

    • Make sure your Razer drivers are up to date. Visit the Razer website or use the Razer Synapse software to check for updates.
    • Update the Spotify app to the latest version available on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on your device.
  3. Disable Surround Sound Temporarily:

    • Try disabling the surround sound feature in the Razer driver to see if Spotify continues to pause. This can help determine if the surround sound setting is causing the issue.
  4. Check Audio Settings:

    • Go to your device's sound settings and ensure that the correct audio output is selected when using Spotify.
    • Make sure that any enhancements or special audio effects are not interfering with Spotify's playback.
  5. Bluetooth Issues:

    • Since you mentioned there's no sound when using Bluetooth, check if your device's Bluetooth is functioning properly with other apps or devices.
    • Try connecting to a different Bluetooth device to see if the issue persists.
  6. Clear Spotify Cache:

    • Clearing the cache can resolve playback issues. Go to your device settings, find Spotify, and clear its cache.
  7. Reinstall Spotify:

    • Uninstall and then reinstall Spotify to ensure a fresh installation without any corrupted files.
  8. Check for Conflicting Software:

    • Other audio-related software or drivers could conflict with the Razer driver. Try closing or disabling other audio software to see if the issue is resolved.
  9. Test with Wired Headphones:

    • Since you mentioned your headphones are new, try using them with another device to ensure they are not the issue. If they work fine elsewhere, it's likely not a hardware issue with the headphones.
  10. Contact Support:

    • If none of the above steps work, reach out to Razer support for assistance with the surround sound feature. Similarly, contact Spotify support if you suspect the issue is with their app.
  11. Community Forums:

    • Check Razer and Spotify community forums for similar issues and potential solutions from other users who may have experienced the same problem.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and hopefully fix the issue causing Spotify to pause after enabling Razer's surround sound feature and the lack of Bluetooth sound. If you tried all of these but you still can not fix it, you can try using DumpMedia to save your songs in MP3 format from Spotify. Then you can play them on a media player that doesn’t conflict with other apps.
