Barracuda X Mic Very Quiet

Hey, I was having trouble with my Barracuda X headset, and after having a not-so-helpful conversation with Microsoft support, I got absolutely nothing out of it. I have tried lots of troubleshooting through my laptop and my microphone is at max volume when recording audio, but it still gets very quiet when not having my mic touching my mouth.

“RAZER Barracuda X headset Mic Quiet Issue (FIX)

I have had an issue where when we watched the playbacks my voice would be lower than a whisper and I practically had to scream into my mic to be heard by anyone. I even tried VoiceMeeter to boost my mic output, but nothing was working.

This was troublesome because my friends could hear me just fine during dives, the audio issue only applied during playback and in the clips themselves.

FIX:
I changed my audio output channel from "Surround Sound 7.1" to "Razer Barracuda X" and this greatly improved the audio playback of my voice. I disabled the 7.1 Surround Sound App in the Razer AppEngine program as well, but it is unclear to me if this made any differences because I disabled it at the same step of switching my audio channel. If you use the RAZER Barracuda X and the Surround Sound 7.1 software, I hope this helps you”
