barracuda x usb-c dongle is detected by windows but not razer apps/headphones

i got a brand new headset and can’t get the mic working

 

the usb-c dongle, both wired and unwired, will not pair to my headphones. my computer detects the dongle in device manager (it’s called “Razer Barracuda X 2.4”) but the razer programs do not detect it, so i have no way of pairing it to my headphones.

 

i am using my headset wired and i have charged it overnight using a wall outlet

 

i’m only interested in using the headphones wired and i would like to get the mic working

Heya jarbicyte,

 

I stumbled across your question and was able to get an answer by going through Reddit.  Please confirm what model of headset you are using.  I found that downloading the one in your link was not appropriate for my headset.  I have a RZ04-04430 and found that even though the updaters look very similar, the one for the RZ04-03800 won’t work on the RZ04-04430 and vice-versa :)
