Basilisk Ultimate button 5 stopped working

I have had my Basilisk Ultimate for 1-2 years and last week the button 5 stopped working. It's not gummed up and I have tried the following without any success:
  • Updated firmware
  • Uninstalled driver and reinstalled
  • Factory reset through the Synapse app
  • Uninstalled Synapse and reinstalled
Any other ideas? Having gotten used to button 5 for gaming, without it now throws a wrench in my experience.

    ISSUE RESOLVED I came across this old REDDIT article https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/6c5p9v/thumb_buttons_on_mouse_not_working/dhsih0l/ and it appears there is some conflict with a Windows update last week and the mouse. Hopefully it helps others as well. Turn off PC > plug mouse USB into another USB 2.0+ port > and all buttons work again!
