Basilisk V2 Mouse Unresponsive

I recently purchased a Basilisk V2 Wired and it arrived today—the only problem was that it wasn't being recognized by Windows 10 on any of the devices I tried it on (all USB ports attempted). No internal lighting or cursor input upon plugging it in after multiple restarts on each device. The only resources I can find online are for persuading Synapse to detect the mouse, but I never even got to the point where my own computer registered it. Documentation specified that the basic functions of the mouse are available immediately upon plugging it in while the more advanced settings are for Synapse, and so far I'm unable to use either of them. This is my first purchase from Razer, so I'm not sure if there's a step that I missed somewhere along the line. I sent a support ticket, but is it worth waiting potentially over 72 hours just to be told to RMA it? I might just go ahead and initiate the process if it's a clearly dysfunctional unit, I just wanted to get input from some folks who know more about the products than I do. Any suggestions?
