I can figure out how to get my mouse to get to get back to where I can switch between tactile spin and free spin the mouse is stuck on only on free spin

Is this still the case? Does this happen with and without Synapse running in the background? In any case, please send me the serial number of your Basilisk V3 so I can look into possible solutions. Let’s go from there.
