I have been having a problem with scrolling on my Basilisk V3 X Hyperspeed:
When using the scroll wheel, it sometimes scrolls in the opposite direction, not at all, or two times after each other. I’ve remapped my mouse’s side buttons to “Scroll up” and “Scroll down” which works flawlessly. Due to that I can scroll (only with buttons), but without any precision.
This has been going on for months, but now I’m writing a report; I had the mouse since June ‘23 (the 2 year warranty is active).
I’ve read other reports and followed the advice (linked at the bottom):
The mouse is connected to my PC via the PC’s own USB port,
I tried out all USB ports of my PC,
I disabled (and re-enabled) Synapse 3,
I uninstalled the drivers,
I cleaned my mouse as portrayed by the cleaning guide (with pressurised air),
The mouse doesn’t show any signs of physical damage,
However the scrolling still doesn’t work as supposed, even on other devices.
Please let me know if this is a software issue or the mouse needs replacement, I will try to provide all the informations needed.
