Weird I am on day 3 of use have had no issues what so ever. Are you sure windows isn’t conflicting with your drivers or something?  Seems like a software issue somewhere along the lines or maybe mine has a different firmware or was already patches as I just bought it off amazon. But I am betting it is windows reason is I only run windows 11 LTSC IoT , no glamour, no bloat, and no bs.

Using the v2 dock pro as well?

yes I don't want to have to plug and unplug to charge it. But I also built my own computer latest gen AMD system. not sure if you have a pre-built with their bloat on top of microslops bloat in normal windows 11 builds.

I'm going to assume you're using above 1k polling, since you have the V2 dock. I've been trying a few things but it definitely happens when running 8k polling.

Windows has been messing up so many things lately, especially with AMD systems, so I would not be surprised if there's a handshake issue that occurs (for some reason after establishing a connection) that interrupts the communication between the sensor (specifically) and Synapse.

Your finding would still support a software issue but it's very curious if you're running 8k polling at zero issues after 10+ hrs of gaming.

Has anyone tried after the new firmware update?

Has anyone tried after the new firmware update?

I applied the firmware update last night and got a couple hours playtime at 4k polling rate without issue. So it seems promising so far.

Ok so I downloaded and updated the mouse with the latest firmware, I've had it on 8K for a few hours in game and browser and seems good. Only issue im having now seems to be with the chroma effects, they either crash or just don't turn on unless placed on the dock and then it still seems to crash or glitch. ( not displaying correct effect or turns off)

Seems like mine is fixed for now. 30mins in. But you’re right. Chroma is jacked on both mouse and Dock.

I do not use dock 2, dont use chrome for control. Constant freezing oit of rhe box and for the price quite annoying. I applied the firmware so will see if it fixes the issue. V3 I loved so much was hopeful v4 was an improvement… if firmware fixes issues maybe, if not im switching back to v3 and will attempt a return on v4.

I had been having the freezing issue with the v2 dock so stopped using it for the past week - nice to hear a firmware issue may have fixed it so I can go back to it. I noticed the lighting being off on the mouse the last few days too.

Oddly - using the out of the box USB dongle the curser just froze for me which has never happened before. I could still left and right click and scroll but not move. Turning the mouse off and on fixed it.

I can confirm that, since the firmware upgrade, I haven't experienced those same sensor freezes. =) Can't comment on the lighting though.

Since updating firmware I have had no freeze issues even at 8k.

Back on the V2 Dock for the last few hours, my cursor has frozen twice at 4k. I have the latest version of Synapse, I assume it is also updating the firmware of my mouse and dock automatically?

Nope, so you have to go onto razer's support page for the firmware for the basilisk v4 pro specifically.
