Battery Drain on 2021 Razer Blade 14

roydok9111976
I have a 2021 Razer Blade 14 RTX 3080 running Windows 11 which I noticed is having battery drains of at least 5% overnight when turned off. I bought this issue earlier here and one of your technical staff suggested holding the power button for 15 seconds on shut down to put it into deep shutdown mode. It solved the battery drains when turned off but I have to keep doing the 15-second power hold on every time I shut it down. Is there any Windows 11 settings where I can adjust to make all my shut downs in deep shutdown mode? Thank you very much.

Hi. I tried the 2 solutions as suggested on the link but sadly battery still drains when turned off under Windows 11. Both did not put the Blade 14 on deep shutdown mode preventing battery drain when off. Only thing works is the holding of the power button for 15 seconds during shutdown. Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you very much for your replies.

If the battery "drain" is 5% overnight - it's not something to be aware of in my opinion. But I'd check what happens if you left your laptop for 2 days or more for eg. - will be still around 5%? or more?

Battery went down to 80% after 2 days turned off.

Can you suggest any other Windows 11 settings that will make the deep shutdown mode permanent?

Try disable USB charging in BIOS (press DEL when starting up the system). This worked with my other laptops.

There's no other deep sleep / fastboot settings.

I guess my only option is to do the 15-seconds hold on the power button on shutdown if I plan not to use the laptop for the next few days. I hope Razer and Microsoft can improve on this. Thank you very much.

I confirm disabling the USB charging in BIOS cures the battery drain when laptop is turned off. I hope Razer can correct this with a BIOS update.
