So my Barracuda X (2022) don’t have access to THX AND I can’t even pair it with Synapse? Do I understand it right? D:

Yup, it’s not synapse supported headset. Your headset is eligible for 7.1 Surround.

For EQ and stuff check the Razer Audio app (iOS / Android).

Oh, so the mobile EQ app will work for dongle I’ve connected to my pc? Or is it only for bluetooth connection?

Please read it again. Razer Audio app is only iOS and Android. It’s not compatible with windows.

Hi. I have such a problem. back in 2022 I bought myself blackshart v2 or x I forgot tbh. So, I reinstalled Windows and after connecting headphones the sound is just crap. Like from a barrel. I tried to configure both in Windows and in razer synapse, but the sound is just awful. I can't hear when someone speaks quietly and loud sounds are too loud and like from a barrel. Can somebody help?

Subject: Razer Leviathan V2 – USB not detected, Bluetooth silent, cannot update firmware

Hello,

My Razer Leviathan V2 suddenly stopped working over USB. The speaker no longer enumerates on any PC (Windows 11 and macOS) – no sound, no “Unknown USB Device,” no PID/VID entry. Tried multiple known-good data USB-C cables (USB-A to C and USB-C to C), rear motherboard ports (USB 2.0 / 3.0), different computers, long power disconnect (>10 min), and all documented reset key combos (Source+Vol Down, Vol Up+Vol Down+Power, Source+Power). USB is completely dead.

Bluetooth pairing still works (device shows as connected), but there is absolutely no audio output (system meters move, speaker remains silent). Pressing volume buttons while connected causes the Source indicator to turn red and the device becomes unresponsive until power cycled. Firmware updater over Bluetooth reports "up to date" and then asks to connect via USB, which is impossible since USB never enumerates.

Conclusion: main MCU / audio DSP or USB interface has failed; I cannot perform a firmware recovery due to lack of USB enumeration. Please provide a firmware recovery / DFU tool that can force boot mode or proceed with RMA / replacement.

Hi, I can’t download the 7.1 Surrounding Sound App. The Installer doesn’t work. I have Windows 11 and windows 64-bit operating system. I always receive the message that the installer doesn’t have the right permission. How can I fix that?

Try running the installer as administrator.

Hello, I’m having the same issue and I am already logged in as administrator by default and have tried to “Run as Administrator” for good measure but still get the same result.  Each time I run the installer, it generates a file “RazerSurroundSoundInstaller.err” whose contents read:  “Failed to write installer file (Permission denied)”

I tried to revive the speakers for 3 hours yesterday and stopped. I disconnected and connected others. This afternoon I decided to check the Bluetooth connection. And lo and behold, they began to play. I connected it to my computer and everything was connected as it was before without any problems. I didn't understand what it was at all. Bottom line - turn it off for a few hours and maybe everything will come alive for me.

Is  THX Spatial Audio standalone application going to receive an update it has been almost a year. Also will it get the 7.1.4 capability?

In fact, I received an email notifying me about my “forums account” creation or whatever they call it here, insider?. But yeah. No Activation codes. Just the product registration confirmation email that only lists the SN.
I love people always blaming Spam folders for their Email Systems malfunctioning though. Every other email comes through just fine lmfao.

You didn’t read the FAQ (and/or) manual well then.

If you installed external THX Spatial audio - uninstall it, install Synapse only - THX Spatial is already there without any activation (ofc this applies for Barracuda and the Pro ver).

Thanks for putting this together, it clears up a lot of confusion between 7.1 Surround and THX Spatial. I used to think they were the same thing, but now it makes sense why some headsets need an activation code and others don’t. For people, that cannot register headset because it thow error, that device is already registered - most likely fake headset, sent it back, get a refund. There’s no other way in this case.

Sometimes there is some delay when sending the email, but IMO is max few minutes - but it really depends on your email provider. Sometimes the mails are blocked on a higher level (so they won’t even reach the spam folder).

People don’t understand even though I say it, gahhh!!

  • I’ve USED the self-service tool, it says it has sent an email with the activation code.
  • I have checked my email THOROUGHLY and CONSTANTLY, no code at all.
  • I was able to register it with no issue.

I bought the headset from GAME in a bundle, I highly doubt they are selling fakes. I have opened up a support case and going through the process there at the moment. May also be my email provider like you said, but it has been 72+ hours now.
