Black Widow v4

I am having the classic double-typing issue with my Razer Black Widow V4 keyboard, specifically on the g, enter, t, and space keys. It has become quite a burden, especially when attempting to interact with my terminal, as double-enter can mess up compiling and such.

I have tried just about every troubleshooting step I can possibly think of, and there is no apparent damage on the keyboard. I have tried it with and without synapse running, I have tried updating, and resetting the software on it, and I have tried cleaning out the keys with rubbing alcohol. Everything short of physically removing the switches, and re-soldering them back on has been done. It started doing this about a month or so after I got it, and the issue only keeps getting worse over time. It’s starting to become un-usable now.

Hi necr0moth,

I’m sorry to hear about the spamming issues you’re experiencing with your Razer BlackWidow V4. Were there any incidents that happened to your keyboard prior to the issue? To further isolate the problem, please perform the additional troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Make sure that your device is directly connected to a USB port on your computer. USB hubs are known to cause these issues.
  2. Try to reinstall your keyboard drivers.
  3. Test the device with another computer that does not have Synapse installed.

If the same problem occurs, PM me your keyboard serial number and proof of purchase so I can check for replacement options. Thanks!
