Blackshark Pro--Can the Wireless dongle work with an adaptor for Lightning? | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hi. I'm shopping for a headset for my mom, who uses Apple products. We're looking at the Blackshark line not for actual gaming, but because it has some of the lowest levels of sound leakage from over-ear headsets, plus a high-quality mic.

The main use case here is with her MacBook, but she would prefer a headset that she can also pair with her Iphone for calls. Unfortunately, the wireless dongle for the Pro is USB (A? C?), and the only port is Apples proprietary Lightning. If she used a USB to lightning adaptor like the ones advertised to connect cameras, would the wireless receiver actually work with her iPhone? Or would there be some kind of driver or software missing that would make that useless?

Alternatively, would an audio to lightning adaptor let her use the headset with her with a wired connection via the regular audio cable?
Please note that we have not tested the headset and dongle with third-party adapters, so it's hard to say if it will work. You may want to look into our BT headset lineup instead for seamless switching between different platforms.
