Blackshark pro v2 designed for xbox game chat issues

I just bought the Blackshark pro v2 designed for Xbox a few days ago. I’ve been running into a problem that my mic works just fine in party chat and discord calls and when i test the mic in games like cod and Phasmaphobia using the mic test feature it works fine, but when i use game chat other players can’t hear me. I’ve updated the headset, i’ve power cycled my xbox and reset my audio options on my xbox. I’m not sure what else to do.
