Blackshark V2 HS Dongle No longer recognized

my dongle all the sudden stopped being recognized by windows. when i plug it in, a faint light comes on then fades out.

uninstalling and reinstalling the usb through device manager did not work.

using different usb ports has not worked.

i cannot use the firmware update utility or the pairing utility because the razer software does not recognize that the dongle is plugged in.

the synpase software does not recognize the headset either.

what can I do to fix this?  

I see on the forums that this is a SUPER common issue but Razer can’t put out a fix?  come on, i paid a lot for this device!  Purchased in August 2024.

Hi malgorthewarrior,

If the dongle only shows a faint light and then fades out, and it’s not being detected by Windows, Synapse, the firmware updater, or the pairing utility, that does sound more like the dongle itself isn’t initializing properly rather than a simple pairing issue. Just to narrow it down a bit more, have you had a chance to test the dongle on a another PC as well, and if you open Device Manager does anything appear at all under USB devices when you plug it in, even briefly or as an unknown device? If you haven’t already, try connecting the dongle directly to the PC without any hub, extender, or adapter in between. If the behavior is the same across multiple ports and another system, please send me a PM with your device serial number, proof of purchase, and region so I can check what options are available from here.
