Hello Razer Support,
my Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed USB dongle suddenly stopped working.
The headset itself was working normally before the issue occurred mid-game without any changes to my PC or the headset.
Windows detected the dongle in the Device Manager as:
“Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)”
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Unplugging and reconnecting the dongle
- Using different USB ports
- Uninstalling the unknown USB device from Device Manager
- Restarting the PC
- Completely shutting down and restarting the PC
- Testing the dongle on a second computer/laptop
The same problem occurred on both computers. Therefore, it does not appear to be a Windows-specific issue.
The Headset is working fine when I connect it via cable.
When I connect the dongle it shows a very feint green light for a second before going dark.
Could you please advise whether there is a way to reset/recover the dongle or if I can replace it?
