Hi everyone,
I’m having ongoing issues with my Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023). I’ve been using it for about a month, and the problems have been present since day one.
Main issues:
1. Random disconnections
The headset randomly disconnects for a few seconds and then reconnects. I hear the Windows device disconnect/reconnect sound each time. It happens during normal use (gaming, browsing, etc.) and doesn’t seem tied to any specific app.
2. Microphone inconsistency
The mic behaves in a very strange way:
-
Sidetone works (I can hear myself)
-
But many apps (like WhatsApp Web or browser-based apps) don’t detect any mic input
-
Sometimes even Synapse doesn’t seem to handle the mic correctly
3. Unstable behavior
The issues come and go:
-
Sometimes less frequent after changes
-
Sometimes worse again
-
No clear pattern
What I’ve already tried:
-
Updated firmware and drivers
-
Re-paired the headset with the official tool
-
Clean reinstall of Synapse
-
Tested with and without Synapse
-
Disabled USB power saving (USB hubs, HID devices, etc.)
-
Disabled Bluetooth power saving
-
Tried different USB ports (rear motherboard, no hubs)
-
Tested at different battery levels (including fully charged)
-
Checked Windows mic permissions and input device
-
Tested keeping the mic constantly active (Discord/recording)
Nothing has fixed it so far.
Additional context:
-
I previously used the BlackShark V2 Pro (2020) and never had any of these issues
-
This started immediately with the 2023 version
-
It feels like a firmware, driver, or dongle-related issue (especially with the mic + disconnect combo)
Has anyone experienced the same combination of issues?
Any confirmed fixes or firmware updates that actually solve this?
Thanks!
