Blackshark v2 Pro Audio/Mic Issue | Razer Insider

TL;DR Wireless = Sound Good, Mic Bad. Wired = Sound Bad, Mic Good.

The problem I'm having with the headset is that I cannot find a way to get both the audio and microphone to function at their best together. I can achieve good mic quality, or good sound, but not both. The problem stems from whether the headset is plugged in via audio jack or wireless, and I suspect this is because synapse cannot detect and manage the headset when plugged in via audio jack.

When wireless, the synapse program together with the USB connection stick which came with the headset lets me configure the audio to sound great, but whenever using the headset wirelessly like this the microphone sounds very quiet and poor quality. I've managed to improve it a bit with the settings available in synapse but it still sounds washed out and tunnel-y, and is generally unpleasant for voice calls.

When I plug the headset in through the audio jack (using a splitter if that matters) the opposite is true- synapse does not detect the headset, the microphone performs with good quality, and the audio quality becomes washed out, also lacking the tuning done in synapse. Essentially, it sounds like a much cheaper headset than what it is this way.

It's already rather annoying to have the headset change in quality whether wireless or plugged in, but to have neither one fully functional is incredibly disappointing.
