I bought Blackshark V2 pro wireless headphones and after 2 months of gentle use, the right hinge broke. Please get it replaced, fixed, or refunded. this is so unfair given that I have been using Razer headphones for so many years and when I decided to upgrade and buy the most expensive product this happened. it's so upsetting. Also, I did contact the store I bought it from and they suggested reaching out to you.

I did not drop it once or hit it with something.

No one used it but me and I have been very gentle with it. I think this is a manufacturing error.

I have been using Razer headphones for more than 7 years and nothing like this ever happened to me.

Bump, i wanna buy this headset but razer doesn’t seems to be wanting to fix the issues, there’s a lot of post on reddit and the net.

They did offer me replacement but they don’t ship in my region, middle east. And, my headset is still sitting here in my room broken.

The razer support on twitter/X is good though.
It sucks that this headset has a manufacturing issue with the right hinge otherwise I will recommend you buy it.
either way, I suggest going for like dt 990 pro or something else with a cord because I noticed when using this one, my mic doesn’t pick up quick, there’s a delay. Mic quality though is phenomenal and that’s one of the reasons why I got it.

Hello. I believe I have encountered the exact same issue as you. I purchased the Razer Blackshark v2 pro (2023), 45 days ago and have been using with little up until yesterday when the right side hinge broke off.

Just like you, i handled it gently and with due care. Yet despite my cautious nature, my headset still suffered the same breakage as yours. The hinge snapped off as I was gently pulling the cups apart to place them over my ears. This also happened without any prior signs of wear and tear.

Upon inspecting the damage, it seems it was the plastic mould holding the metal screws in place that failed. I’m curious to know wether it was the same with you?

Consider we both have had issues with the right hinge and that we both experienced the issue at roughly at the same time after purchase, I think it’s safe to assume that it manufacturing issue. Since i can’t find anyone else having the same issue as us, I believe we just got really unlucky buying headsets that had received faulty hinges.

I have opened a warranty claim with Razer, which should be valid if I have read the conditions correctly. I am hoping to receive a repair if not a replacement since i am for the most part very happy with the product. How long did it take for Razer to get back to you with the claim? Just so I know how long of a wait I should expect.

Still it is very unfortunate that Razer didn’t refund you for your purchase, especially considering that this seems to be an issue on their end. I hope whatever headset you have now is working out for you.
