Hi all,



I'm hoping someone on here can help me because I've been in discussions with Razer tech support for over 3 months now (since the day I bought the headset) and they haven't been able to help me whatsoever.



Simply put, my headset does not playback any sound at all when THX is selected as the Windows playback device. As such, I'm limited to using stereo sound on a headset I paid >$300 to have THX on.



Razer even sent a replacement unit which made no difference whatsoever so it's not hardware related.



My system:



Dell 8490 pre-built system (purchased in August 2021) using Windows 10.





1) I've tried updating Razer Synapse to the latest version.



2) I've updated the headset to the latest firmware.



3) I reinstalled Windows as a fresh install to start from scratch with everything but that didn't help.



4) I've tried plugging in the 2.4Ghz dongle into the rear USB panel of the desktop, the front panel AND the USB panel on the Dell monitor that I'm using but nothing works.





I'm beyond upset about this as I've not been able to use the headset since I purchased it. The worst part has been the Razer support which is absolutely lackluster. I'm currently in communication with them still after 3 months and have been escalated to Level 2 support, but they keep suggesting to same simple troubleshooting techniques that didn't work at the very beginning. We're going around in circles and nothing is happening. Razer won't give me a refund because I purchased the headset at BestBuy, and BestBuy wouldn't give me a refund because of their covid returns policy regarding headsets. This is extremely depressing.



I know others have had this problem so please reach out if you have been able to fix the issue.



I would also like to add that even when using the stereo mode, the sound is terrible. As in, it lags, beeps that it's not in range (even though I'm 2 ft from the dongle) and also just completely drops. This is the worst product I've ever purchased and the worst customer resolution attempt I've ever experienced. I cannot stress enough to anyone that reads this, don't buy Razer. It's quite literally expensive junk. There are tons of better quality brands and products out there to choose from and I will be reporting Razer to the FTC for their lackluster product / customer solution to date.
