Blackshark v2 pro issues | Razer Insider
Hi guys,

received my first Razer product and on opening really happy with the look and feel, packaging is quality and the headphones feel fantastic.

I'm immediately hitting issues though I'm afraid. I'm regularly getting beeps which I'm led to believe is the headset disconnecting and reconnecting, which is hugely impactful if I'm in the middle of a game.

I'm also having issues whereby I have to manually disable in Sound Settings my speakers or else regardless of what's set as default device it comes through my monitor speakers instead of the headset. (They're set as the backup device in Synapse)

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? I could (probably) live with having to manually enable/disable the speakers when I'm not using the headset, but the cutting out is a massive issue.

Currently I've tried moving the USB port that the device is plugged into as someone mentioned it could be Bluetooth messing with the frequency, I've also tried disabling Bluetooth... then realised I have a BT keyboard and with watch, phone etc. this is unlikely to be a decent solution!

I really like the headset and don't want to return it, would like to work through these problems and any help appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Rich
Hi,

I'm having the exact same issues and was about to make a post of it myself. Since day one, one week ago I'm having the beeping issues. I changed usb port, to the front of the pc, but every few minutes it seems like it's connecting and disconnecting for quite some time. After a while it'll work for a few minutes and start beeping again. It's unusable at this stage, the headsets do offer great quality but the connection seems unreliable right now. I have googled the issue and have encountered others, who have the exact same problem. Would love to hear an answer to the issue, as it seems more people are experiencing this lately.
Experiencing the exact same thing. Just randomly beeps and boops like it's connecting/disconnecting. Plus the right ear cup rattles/buzzes like the driver is broken, but it comes and goes which is the weird thing. It's not EQ settings (i kept it flat default), headset knob @ 50%, system volume at 50%. After about 30 minutes of listening to music, it starts to buzz/rattle. Even when the volume is whisper quiet.

This is already my 2nd pair (had to RMA the first ones for the exact issues). They're great headphones, but these issues are deal breaker for me.

Thanks for initiating this thread. Does the issue happen while the headset is connected to a different computer?

Hey everyone! Please perform the steps below and see if it helps:

Disable Fast Startup Feature:

  • Open Control panel.

  • Search for and select the power option.

  • Here Choose what the power button does in the left panel.

  • Next click on Change Settings that are currently unavailable.

  • Scroll down and uncheck the box in front of “Turn on fast startup” and save changes.
