Hello,
At the end of last year I decided to get a new PC from scratch. Of course, this generation of desktop hardware ended up being a circus, so I ended up with a high end GPU that I had checked and it ended up being defective, RMA’d it, and got a new one.
Less than a month after I got the new GPU and around 4 months after I bought a Blackshark V2 PRO headset, the left hinge just snapped when I picked up the headset from on top of the desk. I did not feel like sending something else back, so I decided to tape it. Around two months after that, the right hinge snapped. And now, a year after I bought them, which means they’re still under warranty, they’re basically unusable.
I have to say, this headset has one of the best microphones I’ve seen so far, but the plastic used is just… sad.
My questions are, are there any replacement hinges that will actually last longer than the original ones available anywhere? What’s my course of action here?
I REALLY don’t want to have one of those “it looks like misuse, so no replacement” conversations and waste my time, even though one quick search and anyone can see that it’s one of the biggest problems with this headset...
Thank you.
