Hi, so my S/O purchased the All-Star bundle for me to update my peripherals (shes amazing!) from my eBay stuff.

I love everything but my one gripe is that the Blackshark v2 X seem way way too quiet. Like its an issue.



The only good bit of gear I had prior to this was a set of Kraken 7.1 Chromas that were awesome! Everything I read seemed to say the Blacksharks could compete if not excel beyond the Krakens. But my Krakens are able to put out much much more volume. Even with my desktop vol. slider at 100, game volume 100 and the volume dial on the headset (blackshark) cranked up, it doesn't come clooose to my Krakens.

I did some more research and discovered the X's are the budget version of the v2's and didn't offer an integrated sound card so it couldnt take advantage of the 7.1 software? So I ran out and grabbed a Roccat Juke adapter and plugged everything up and the difference is slight but nearly negligible, maybe.

Another thing to note, this might be my issue. But when configuring the 7.1 software and selecting audio source, all of the options descripted with 7.1 do NOT work. I can set them as default and the warning of improper sound selection goes away but im not receiving any audio through those channels. Only when i select a non-7.1 source does it work (pretty okay, like decent headphones, but no where near as good as the krakens) but that caution sign comes up acting as if my settings are improper.

Please tell me theres hope for this headset as I really do like them! The volume control knob is really convenient but I need all the volume I can get ingame.
