BlackShark V2X Not recording 7.1 surround sound in game audio using Shadowplay | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Recently bought the Razer BlackShark V2 X and I've had nothing but problems getting it to record audio in my recordings. Whenever I use the 5.1 audio system on my black shark both my mic and in-game audio are picked up normally (with the loss of surround sound).

However, whenever I set my 7.1 surround sound audio as my default playback audio shadowplay will pick up my mic but give an extremely muffled and barely hearable (probably the mic picking the audio up even though it does it while muted) version to shadowplay even though my headset audio sounds fine.

Using Nvidia RTX Voice with Razer 7.1 Surround Sound. Won't record audio with those on or off.

Spatial sound on or off, no difference.

Audio enhancements on or off, zero difference.

Recorded both single track and separate tracks (selected in Shadowplay Audio Settings) and loaded both into Adobe Premier with no audio or very low audio with the typical static feedback when a low volume recording is cranked up to 11.

Checked Volume Mixer, all at 100 %.

Checked Audio settings in Shadowplay, all at high levels.

Checked in game audio, all good.

Checked Drivers, all good. Checked this many times and uninstalled and reinstalled everything

Used rear inputs, and

Everything checks out in Sound Settings, and Control Panel Sound Settings.

The only variable I've been able to isolate is the Blackshark V2 X Headphones.

I've tried different headsets and they all work out fine and from the different forums, I've found other people have the same issue but I could never find a resolve.

Any help would be most appreciated
