Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with my Razer BlackShark V3 Pro microphone being extremely quiet outside of Discord.

In Discord, my voice sounds normal and clear, but in Windows (Voice Recorder, system input level) and in games like CS2, the microphone input is very low, as if I was speaking quietly.

Additionally, when I test the microphone in Windows, the input level only reaches around 5% when speaking normally.

I am aware of the firmware fix released on April 23, 2026 regarding microphone settings not being retained. My device is updated to the latest firmware, but the issue still persists.

I have already performed the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Set microphone level to 100% in Windows

  • Selected the correct “Chat” microphone as default device

  • Disabled exclusive mode and audio enhancements

  • Reinstalled Razer Synapse and reset settings

  • Updated headset and dongle firmware

  • Tested both wireless (USB dongle) and wired USB mode

  • Tried different USB ports

  • Tested on another PC

The behavior is consistent across all setups. Since Discord works correctly, it appears that the microphone gain is too low at the system/driver level.

Could you please confirm if this is a known issue or if my unit is defective?

If necessary, I would like to request a replacement.
