Blackwidow v4 backlit keys turn off after boot

Just got this cool keyboard two days ago and the backlit keys worked for a bit then shut off. Now, after reboot or unplugging the USB cable(s) the lights come back on for a moment then shut off again until the next time I do one of those things. Both cables are plugged into USB3 ports, I’ve run all updates from the Razer apps and I’ve made all the suggested changes to the power management profile. Not sure what to do at this point. Pretty frustrated… Even my razor mouse no longer lights up except when the keyboard does, but I do have it plugged into the keyboard...

Try creating new configuration profile in Synapse.

Or if you have Windows 11 check if Dynamic lighting devices option is turned on (if so, turn it off, because it’ll take control over chroma).

Windows 10 still. I’ll give the new profile a go. Thanks for the suggestion.

Interesting, as soon as I uninstalled any Razer software component, the keyboard and mouse backlighting starts working for awhile. Now that I have uninstalled ALL Razor software, it seems to be working all the time.

I’ve just had the exact same issue and after uninstalling Synapse 4 the lighting on my keyboard (Blackwidow Elite) and mouse (Deathadder V2) started working again, I think this may be an issue with synapse itself as I only reinstalled chroma and the lighting effects on my mouse and kyboard are back to the usual settings I have them on.

Hope this helps out others who may have the same problem in future!
