My Blackwidow v4 low profile hyperspeed when I use it in my wireless mode, it is not charging.

Following is the situation, my keyboard shows me that it is low in battery. I plug in my cable that linked to the PC to the keyboard and used for a while, it will show that the battery is 100% full. However, when I take out the cable from my keyboard, my PC will pop out a low battery icon and they battery life will be shown as 1% and charging.

I tried updating my  firmware, and it updater shows me my keyboard using the latest firmware. Can someone please advice on how should I proceed with this problem.

I usedd the original razer USB cable for charging the keyboardd.

Hello hadiaz,

I’m here to help. I understand that your Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-profile Hyperspeed shows 100% while plugged in, but drops to 1% and low battery as soon as you unplug it and use it wirelessly, even after updating the firmware. To isolate the issue, please a allow me to ask a few questions below:

  • When the keyboard is plugged in and shows 100%, can you still use it normally in wired mode (keys and lighting working as expected)?
  • Approximately how long do you leave it plugged in before unplugging it?
  • Have you tried a different USB port on your PC or a different PC/charger to see if the behavior is the same?
  • When did this charging issue first start happening?
  • Was the keyboard charging and working normally in wireless mode before, or has it been like this since you first got it?

In the meantime, please try to Reinstall your keyboard drivers and then perform a clean reinstall of Razer Synapse. If the same problem persists, please send me a PM with the keyboard serial number and proof of purchase so I can verify its warranty. Kindly save the shareable files using one of the online drive accounts listed here. All the best!
