Blackwidow v4 Pro Lighting Not Working on StartUp (Windows 11 Home)

I have had NUMEROUS issues with this. I have even gone through Razer Support and gotten the same model keyboard replaced through the warranty department because I thought it was a product malfunction. I have had this issue for more than a year. It happened so many times with the last keyboard that unplugging and plugging the keyboard back in caused the keyboard lightning to blink constantly and become 100% unresponsive.

I don’t know what else to do. It happens with the new keyboard too and the only thing that fixes it seems to be unplugging it and plugging it back in (which will ultimately cause it to break again).

I have:

  • Turned OFF Dynamic Lighting in Windows
  • Turned off ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ for all Root Hub USB 3.0 under Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
  • Turned off ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ for all USB Input Device under Human Interface Devices.
  • Turned off ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ for Razer BlackWidow v4 Pro under Human Interface Devices.
  • Uninstalled / Reinstalled Razer Synapse multiple times.
  • Completely reformatted Windows 11 Home on my PC.
  • Updated Windows and Updated Synapse.

Nothing seems to resolve the issue and I REALLY don’t want to have to replace the keyboard again. NOTE: I have a decrepit old keyboard with RGB lighting (BlackWeb Mechanical Keyboard) that this does NOT have an issue with and it also did NOT have an issue with my OLD Razer keyboard either, (I do not remember the model).

Hey Man,
I too was getting the same problem since i bought v4 Pro. I did every step including turning off power management in both USB root controllers and Human Interface Device, also turning off windows dynamic lighting etc etc. Yet Nothing Worked. What i forgot to do was updating my keyboards firmware. I am using Razor Blackwidow v4 Pro. After updating my Keyboards firmware this issue was fixed.
You can download this firmware from razor website of whatever keyboard you are using. Yet, I am providing link for Razor v4 Pro firmware update down below.

Just follow the steps they have given.

Hope It Helps.
Cheers ♥

Wow, thank you. I have not seen anything about this online anywhere or in any troubleshooting forums / postings. I will try this now, thank you so much.

This has seemed to FINALLY solve the problem. You’re the real MVP.

Ditto, for the love of god why can’t Razer inform us of these things (gee it sure wouldn’t make sense to have this info in Synapse, or at least a support FAQ for god’s sake).  No, it takes other users to do their job for them.  Thanks for the post!
