Greetings.

My laptop is not holding it's charge when powered off and disconnected from the power supply.

The issue began about a month ago.

The laptop has worked fine since I got it on summer 2021 directly from Razer.

When powered on, the battery will charge without issues and I can disconnect the power cable and use it as normal, balanced, power saving and best performance work just well.

I don't get a sensation that the battery is draining faster than before because I normally use it plugged in.

I don't game much in the laptop, I mostly use virtual machines, hence why normally would use it plugged in.

The thing is that I can charge it to 100% and in a day or two it will drain to not even powering on.

OS, GPU, and BIOS are up to date.

Disabled USB charge in BIOS (From AUTO) but that didn't work.

Any advice on replacing the battery?

I ask because I read on Razer support that replacing the battery using a battery from a third party could pose the risk of fire.

I can replace it myself, have plenty of experience working with laptops.

I haven't searched in other places to purchase the battery yet.
