This is a weird one. My Blade 15 2018 is always draining the battery when it's off. It's hasn't really mattered because I usually carry the brick with me but just the other day I had to travel light for present and both times the notebook had run out of juice which was terribly embarrasing both times. So... I did some testing and found out that it basically runs out in a day or so when just left off with nothing plugged in. I found this thread on Reddit about it. The bios has the battery charging function set to Auto, I've just turned it off and will see whether it's out again. Regardless it was embarrassing that I'd like to know what I can do about that - is there a beta bios that can address this. I already have the current bios recently released and that didn't help.

    Hey there! Thanks for posting your laptop's concern here. It's sad to see that our laptop's battery drain quickly. Let me help you with this. Please send me a PM together with following below: a. Serial number b: Screenshot of System Information c. Photo of your BIOS main tab, please see the step below: 1. Navigate to settings. You can get there by clicking the gear icon on the Start menu. 2. Select Update & security. 3. Select Recovery from the left menu. 4. Click Restart Now under Advanced startup. The computer will reboot to a special menu. 5. Click Troubleshoot. 6. Click Advanced options. 7. Select UEFI Firmware Settings. If you don't see this icon, then press Startup Settings, instead. When your PC is restarting, tap F1 (or F2) to access the BIOS. 8. Click Restart. 9. Your system will restart and take you to the BIOS.
