blade pro 17 goes too sleep if I put microsoft designer keyboard too close?

How close is too close? The keyboard may be triggering a reaction from the sensor that changes the power state of the laptop if the lid is closed. I'd appreciate it if you can put up a short clip showing how it usually happens.

Hi yes that sounds like a possible cause. I can't show a clip as I've sent it back and replaced it with a wired one. Just wondered if the laptop sensor is a magnetic? The keyboard had a magnetic battery cover which I thought might be the issue. Who knew finding the right keyboard would be so hard.

Yup, the sensor is magnetic. You'd be surprised if you knew how many keyboards I've gone through in the last 3 years. The journey to find that sweet spot is a long, hard road. :big_grin_:

I hear ya :big_grin_: The Microsoft designer keyboard would be perfect for me if it was wired. The key action and build are lovely, but wireless keyboards suck. I just need something slim and quiet to chuck in my ruck sack. Cheers

I can't get myself to like wireless keyboards, but that's probably because I haven't found one that doesn't ruin FPS games for me yet. Anyways, I'm locking this thread as resolved. PM me if you need help in the future. 👊
