Blade Pro 2017 (GTX 1080 4K) power drain on intensive graphic usage

Hey, I am noticing that when I use my blade pro for gaming or other intense graphic usage it will drain my battery even while plugged in. I can't figure out why this is happening. We have tried driver updates, we bought another power adapter, and even just navigating around (like in Unity editor) it seems a bit slower than it used to. Has anyone seen this before? Is it hardware? Or a setting? Please help!

This means the laptop is drawing more power than what the power brick is bringing in. If you have the 165W charger, this is a fairly common occurrence, especially when the game settings are cranked way high.

I just checked and both chargers I have are the 250 Watt ones. Is there a higher wattage than that one?

No, there isn't. Do note that the GTX 1080 alone can pull 300W+ under heavy load at 4k. This is also a matter of battery preservation.
