Blade Stealth 13" 2020 does not hold a charge

Hi all!

I received my new RBS 13/ 2020 in the mail yesterday, played some Half-life 2 with the Mmod installed, good fun! All the while I had my charger connected, till, at one point, the game slowed down. Turned out the charger was not doing its job, and I had been playing on the battery all along.

I searched the internet for a fix, found that I had to uninstall the "Microsoft acpi compliant battery windows 10" battery driver, restart the pc, and things should be fine. It is not.

Whenever ( I did this a few times ) I uninstalled the battery driver, the laptop recognized full charge, the screen brightness would bump back up to maximum, etc. But then, when I restarted the machine, and Microsoft reinstalled the driver, it would again show low battery charge.

Currently, I am at the point where I had the machine charge overnight, to full charge, which I was able to verify via "Settings" > "Battery", but the machine/ software believes the battery holds no charge, and the laptop won't even start for more than a second.

Seeing you need to hold the power button 10 seconds to boot into Microsoft safe mode, that's no option. I do not have the tools –or know-how– to open my laptop and replace, or whatever, the battery. Razer's service desk is a Happy-happy-fun-time™️ to deal with, so you find me here. I can not be the only one with this issue, although the laptop has only been out a couple of months here in Europe.

I really do not want to have to send my laptop back, considering I am starting classes come September and I feel replacing the machine will take forever. . .

What do, anon?
