Blade Stealth (Late 2020) Audio Drivers | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hi All, I recently got the latest blade stealth late 2020 model which is awesome, but I needed a bigger hard drive so I swapped in a new samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB drive. Got windows 10pro installed and everything is working great except Sound.

Windows Update doesn't recognize the audio device to install sound drivers. On the original Razer hard drive which I still have their original install on, it has Realtek(R) Audio Codec with THX Spatial Audio listed which I'm missing on the new hard drives install. Driver Date 9/22/2020, version 6.0.9034.1.

I can't find that driver anywhere on Razers site, I have chatted with a level 2 support person and they are saying they don't have any driver and directing me to a realtek driver from 2017 for some reason. So weird, I know they have the updated driver but they don't seem to know what I'm talking about even after providing screenshots of the original driver I'm looking for.

Just to be clear, If I swap the original hard drive in sound works fine so it's not a hardware issue. I just need their specific THX Spatial Audio driver which they tell me they don't have.

Can anybody help?

As far as I know, drivers for newer machines running Windows 10 need to be checked and signed by Microsoft for them to work properly. This is why we no longer put up drivers for our laptops on our Support page. That said, Realtek and THX drivers are supposed to be separate entities. You should be able to get the latter via Synapse 3.0. Do send me the ticket number so I can review your previous interactions with our Support Team.
