Brand new Kraken Ultimate, volume wheel not working

Ordered theadset this morning, came this evening. I unboxed and plugged them in, sound was great and volume wheel worked, then I received a pop-up to install the drivers. It was at this point the volume wheel stopped working. I've tried uninstalling the drivers, to no avail, but further more it no longer gives me any prompts to reinstall the drivers. What do I do? Thanks in advance.

UPDATE:
I restarted my PC and the volume wheel started working again. Upon reinstalling the drivers however, it's stopped working. Does anyone know what the actual issue is?
