BSOD Error - Warranty claim | Razer Insider

I first contacted Razer back in December 2020 regarding a ''Blue Screen of Death'' Error which was happening mostly during the times when I was doing very CPU-Demanding workloads on Adobe Premiere, etc.

After troubleshooting with Razer I think it is GPU related. I notice my dedicated GPU isn't being used by fault. Ever. And it is always using the Intel 630 graphics.

After this I looked around GPU settings and noticed my dedicated GPU was never in use

I have used Nvidia control panel and device manager to try turn on the RTX 2060 GPU which is inside my blade but doesn't seem to ever work.

The laptop also goes to 95+ degrees celsius when gaming/editing and fans are on even when idle or just simple browsing (No idea if this is normal, but just adding it in incase it is)

Now thats the problem with the GPU/BSOD error

I have a couple questions someone might be able to help with troubleshooting wise

 • Is it normal for when I go to Task Manager > Performance it is connected to intel 630 graphics and not the RTX 2060 despite having the display adapter enabled and selected through Nvidia Control panel

 • If the above issue is not normal, is there any other ways I can attempt to try connect to the dedicated GPU? I've tried Nvidia control panel and display adapters under device manager

 • Would this be a case of a faulty GPU being unable to connect despite saying its enabled on device manager and still using Intels Graphics as default

 • Fans are always on, and it gets very warm just below the screen

And some questions for sending to get repaired

 • How long will they test it for

 • What do they do to test it? As it only crashs when it overheats after a few hours of usage I fear they won't test it long enough to see the issue occur, and I seen they will only repair or replace if they can replicate the issue during the time they have it

 • What are they more likely to do, repair or replace a GPU fault I read online it's impossible to repair a GPU on a blade since its soldered the the mother board, would razer have the technology to be able to repair this or would they just send out a replacement

 • Do they stock old versions of blades despite them being discontinued on there website?

 • If they do find the BSOD problem and are able to repair it will they repair everything else which is wrong with it without me needing to report it to them? I'm very sure fans and overheating is an issue which always confused me because the GPU was never being used that I know of but the fans were always going (perhaps it wasn't the GPU fans but I'm not sure)

Basically I'm upset with razer. I buy almost all there products but the last two laptops I've bought have not lasted over a year and they are very expensive. The last one broke just after running out of warranty which made me buy this one. From speakers, phones, keyboards, mice, laptops, chairs, i have it all.

I just don't want a situation where I send it to get fixed, they can't replicate the fault which makes it crash then send it back and the problem persists and I'll be stuck with a faulty laptop over the academic year at university again where it crashs everytime i progress in my schoolwork. Last year I lost countless hours of this happening.

Thanks, hopefully someone will have experienced this before or razer support can explain better what they do in situations like this. I don't want a situation where I'm chasing Razer support for months trying to get a problem fixed which i see which they don't see even though I have many photos and videos of it happening.
I am also facing same issue, If you found any helpful solution Please let me know. Thanks in Advance ❤

I ended up just contacting the retailer I bought it from and I believe they are going to take it to get it repaired or replace it for me

Usually Amazon would take it back and resolve it with out any issues but my past experience of having razer do a repair they've sent the laptop back unfixed, generally they have replaced it after the 2nd or 3rd time sending them it but i just wanted to avoid all that hastle
