Hello,

I am writing to report a critical bug affecting the Razer Kraken V4 Pro when used in wireless (2.4 GHz) mode.

1. The Problem:
In wireless mode, Windows and Razer Synapse correctly display two separate audio streams: Razer Kraken V4 Pro - Game and Razer Kraken V4 Pro - Chat.
However, any external volume adjustment (via the wheel on my Razer Huntsman V4 Pro keyboard, the Windows volume slider, or media keys) is not applied to the selected stream. Instead, it affects the main audio device as a whole. This results in the volume of both the Game audio and the Chat audio being changed simultaneously and equally.

2. Expected Behavior & Proof of Regression:
The volume should be adjusted in isolation for the stream set as the "Default Device." If Razer Kraken V4 Pro - Game is set as the default device, any external volume control should change only its volume, without affecting Razer Kraken V4 Pro - Chat.

Crucial proof that this is technically feasible and previously worked:
I previously owned the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset. It operated on this exact, correct principle. The system also saw two devices – "Game" and "Chat" – and the keyboard wheel would only adjust the volume of the one set as the "Default Device," leaving the chat channel static. The current behavior of the Kraken V4 Pro is a clear regression of functionality compared to the previous model.

3. Critical Evidence (Wired vs. Wireless Mode):
In WIRED MODE, everything works PERFECTLY, as expected.

  • I set Razer Kraken V4 Pro - Game as the default device.

  • I set a comfortable volume level for Razer Kraken V4 Pro - Chat once.

  • The wheel on my Huntsman V4 Pro keyboard now adjusts only the game volume, leaving the chat volume unchanged. This is the exact logic that was present in the Kraken Tournament Edition.

In WIRELESS MODE, this correct logic is broken, and volume control becomes master volume again, nullifying the entire convenience of the dual-channel setup.

Conclusion:
The issue is not with the hardware, the keyboard, or a misunderstanding of the feature. This is a software bug/regression in the wireless driver or firmware of the Kraken V4 Pro, which incorrectly processes volume control commands sent to the selected device.

My primary question for Razer representatives:
How can this be fixed? I request that this information be forwarded to the development team for a fix in a future firmware or driver update. For players who use voice chats (Discord, TeamSpeak), this is not just a minor bug, but a breakdown of a key gaming scenario. Are there any current workarounds or temporary solutions known to mitigate this issue?

Thank you for your attention. I am ready to provide any additional information to assist with diagnostics.
