I see why Razer may look bad when it comes to the timing of fixing bugs or seeing bugs.

Not enough people speaking up or

they do not have a QA team

Tried everything and the only thing that worked for me on all 3 Tartarus controllers is uninstalling synapse 4 and installing synapse 3 on 3 PC's. What an absolute fail on QC, how difficult is it to test one of the most used "unique" features that I bought all these for.

Good Hardware with junk software makes junk hardware.

Same issue here, started this morning, can’t reassign d pad to keyboard. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, remade profiles as guest and all the Dpad does is arrow keys in  games….

Hello, new tartarus pro user for the past 2 weeks.

Same issue can confirm all of the things that have been tried aren’t working. This is clearly a problem with the latest update. Do you guys happen to know if there’s a solution to downgrade the update? i’d like to be able to use my product..

what a novel concept,

but me thinks Razer does not understand,

no QA and

no means for the user to fix anything except to turn things on/off

Pendulum_Effect

Same problem, same troubleshooting steps everyone posted here already. Downloaded and installed S3 over the top of S4 (it uninstalled S4 for me). S3 works. Frankly, it serves to highlight that I shouldn’t have updated to S4 in the first place.

If you’re going to push untested and faulty updates, you need to add the ability to rollback both software and firmware updates. Bricking your devices because you can’t be bothered to QA is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but come on.. You broke one of the main functions that made your product compelling.

Logitech G Hub is just as bad if not worse to a point where it just goes in to a loading loop and that problem has been going on for years. The problem with Synapes and G Hub is they are both impacted by the fact that they do an automatic update on install so there is no way to roll back the software.

I could do a better job as a one man team working from my garage

This is ridiculous. I was looking forward to testing out the Snap-Tap function for the Pro. Just so happens the D-pad is now bugged. RAZER PLEASE FIX.

Fixed it by going back to Synapse 3, had to rebind everything.. which was a pain, i’m glad I didn’t have any scripts/macros going on.

Hopefuly razer fixes this issue pretty promptly because it’s a pretty big miss for such a core part of their product.

Workaround from LittleHulk works for me. Disable the 4-way D-Pad. Use the 8-Way. Disable the corners since I don’t use them. Using only keymap1.

In case you were going to try to uninstall the software and remove all razer folders and reboot and reinstall the software and reboot, that doesn't help this situation.

I can confirm that the 8-way mapping works. Although I had to add a new keymap (1,2,3)and delete the previous one, then it worked.

no, seems this does not ‘really work’ when using keyboard function to assign the keys

using keymap 1, disabling 4 way, and the corners of the 8 way,

assigning wasd to the 8 way and changing one random key to keyboard function

the d-pad does NOT work

d-pad custom mapping only works when I do not custom map anything else

when something else is assigned a keyboard function the d-pad only uses its defaults movement keys

(which is ignorant to begin with when all PC games I have ever played, I am old btw, PC gammer since 198? use wasd)

no matter what you tell it to do

All of my keys work. I changed 7 of 19 keys, Scroll Up, Scroll Down, D-Pad (8-way) Up, Down, Left, Right. I did delete the Profile. I don’t know if this the reason why I can make it work.

The last time something like this happened I had to delete my entire profile and start from scratch and that seemed to work. I'm going to try that to see if it works.

ok instead of deleting everything, I export the set, and re imported

this works without needing to disable 4 way or use the 8 way

all is working as expected after exporting the profile set and then importing it

Not sure if this is the same for everyone else but suddenly the mapping is working again with regular WSAD
