Have the same issue, tried rebinding, changing from the 4 direction d pad to the 8 direction for the stick… nothing. Really anoying

Try deleting your profile setup and create a new one using the d-pad as 8 way. I took pictures of my setup before doing this to make it easier on me.

This does not work if you customize your 1-19 buttons at all or use the d-pad for keymap switching or hypershift button.

It does work but you need to disable the diagonal dpad directions in the 8 way.

mmm… nope, not working. Tried that just now and it is not working for me. It really sucks to have a device whose main purpose is rebinding keys not bein able to rebind keys. I won’t forget this while considering future purchases from Razer, I’ll tell you that

Please read my previous post about the update. Shut down your Razer software then restart it. If you don’t already have the update then that should make it automatically update.

Ah, thanks a lot, I’ve been trying to force the update but it wouldn’t work. Just tried again by killing the process on the task manager and that did the trick for forcing it to update. Thanks a lot mate.

Very welcome!

My Synapse has been updated to 4.0.86.2508120943. Old profiles are working now.

Hi everyone! Please ensure you have installed the latest Razer Synapse 4 update. Our Support and Internal Teams are still collating the affected users’ concerns, including their device details. I suggest initiating a case through this link: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/warranty-support or send me a PM so I can help create it on your behalf. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure mine has updated because it works now but I have conflicting version numbers.

If I open Synapes 4 and go to  Settings>General it says Version 4.0.86.2508120943

If I right click on the icon in the System Tray and go to Settings>General it says Version 4.0.14.2506300654

Two question arise

  1. Why two different version numbers?
  2. What is the latest version number?

I have the same numbers as you.

One is Razer main app, the other is Razer Synapse. Razer has many more other widgets, like Razer Deals, Razer Insider, etc. Each of them have their own version numbers.

Can also confirm all seems well with version  Version 4.0.86.2508120943 - i’ve been running WoW content for days since original post and no issues. I believe the version must of auto-updated between the time i noticed the behavior and posted. But can confirm - have run raids and dungeons in World of Warcraft pretty heavily since original post and have not seen this behavior reappear. Update to Synapse 4 version 4.0.86.2508120943 seems to have addressed the issue.

I found a fix for it for me. You have to migrate your razor synapse 3 profile. Then you will be able to rebind the D-pad.

Joystick does not work with FFXIV any longer if Synapse is running.  When I close it, the joystick works just fine, but I no longer have the other keys mapped the way I want.  This is beyond frustrating.
