Camera Flicker: Blade Stealth 13 Early 2019

Hey! I'm currently having this issue on my late 2019 model. I've wiped Windows this morning and I can tell you that definitely didn't work. From what I've researched, quite a lot of people are having this issue. I think it is the BIOS, and after people upgrade to 1.07, then the issue goes away. However, the 1.07 BIOS upgrade isn't publicly available. The weird thing is is that I've also tried an external webcam as well, and that flickers and freezes when the power adapter is plugged in, but doesn't when it isn't plugged it. I'll keep you up to date with what support says to me next.

Thanks for that update. Yeah I really fail to see what reinstalling windows would do when we can easily rollback/uninstall the webcam's drivers and the device itself. It's just bad advice IMO that creates unnecessary work. Now the second part is weird. Could it be that all USB devices whether integrated or external are exposed to slightly more than 5.5V when plugged in?

That's exactly what I thought. It would make sense as these machines use USB-C compared to a traditional barrel adaptor, so probably is affecting the voltage more than would be usual. Mmmh- this is interesting!

Okay, I may have found something. I've only played around with it a little bit, but it seems to have worked to an extent. 1) Right click your battery icon and go into power options. 2) Then change plan settings next to the battery plan 3) Change advanced power settings 4) Under USB settings, there is a setting called ' USB Selective Suspend Setting', make sure that on both battery and plugged in that it is set to 'disabled.' 5) Save the settings. I'm hoping that this may work. I'll give you an update soon, but it looks like the glitching has stopped.

Sorry to bump your thread again! I've just spoken to Razer Support; they told me to try and swap the plug/socket that the laptop charger is plugged in to. This looks to have sorted it to an extent. Make sure you plug it directly into the mains, and not on an extension cord or power strip.

You sure? Try forcing the laptop to turboboost i.e., open youtube and a few other things. Plugging it into a power source instead of a power bar or something like that would only make sense if your charger is faulty. This didn't work for me and I suspect you'll still see the issue as well.

Just bumping this as it's still an issue. I recently saw the SAME problem in an early 2019 XPS13 which has effectively the same CPU/chipset/board combo. Plugged in = flicker, on battery = fine.
