My Gigantus V2 arrived today and it is 2-3cm to wide for my desk. Instead of returning, would it be alright to cut it to size because I really like the mat and would much prefer to keep it.

+1Yes, you can cut but you’ll loose possibility to return it / warranty.
After you’ll cut it, slightly burn the edges with cig lighter, so they’ll won’t fray overtime.
