Hey,

i searched the topics but couldn’t find a working solution for me:

I got a Kraken V3 X headset but i cannot use the 7.1 surround sound:

I installed 7.1 surround sound but in the output devices on windows (windows 11)  there is no option “7.1 surround”. I tried reinstalling 7.1 surround sound, reinstalling the audio drivers, updating using windows update, …  nothing resolved the issue so far.

I did reinstall Surround 7.1. I updated all drivers.....My sound simply wont turn on....I'm facing the same issue. The audio drivers from Razer are corrupt for win11 don't work on windows 11....

My only option is to rollback to windows 10.

You can manually goto device manager and select Sound viodeo game controller and add legacy hardware by selecting Razer 7.1.... Might work but still not reliable on all systems.

Hey @DodgerBlueeverTOPAZ713 ,
thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately rolling back to Win 10 is not an option for me :-(.

I tried adding Razer 7.1 as legacy hardware, but it is not there in the list to choose from - any idea on how to download the drivers manually to be able to add them?

Hey, just rolled back to Windows 10.

It solved my problem.

Try a fresh reinstall with updated drivers on Win 11. No other way.

Hey,

allright, I will probably try that then - really annoying that its not compatible with Win11..

Is rolling back to 10 the only working option? That is not an option for me. Razer doesn’t even show up as a legacy drive. not in drop down.

It did Not Show Up as legacy Drive for me too.

Rolled back to win 10 and that solved the problem - annoying but seems to be the only solution atm

Same here, I try every possible finally fresh reinstall Win 11 is only way to resolved the problem.

So you got it working on win 11? Or did you mean a fresh Install of win 10?

I format the HDD and fresh install Win 11 and it work on Win 11 too. But I already upgraded to THX app so my problem is occurred after I uninstall 7.1 sound then install THX Spatial app and it’s can’t select an option in second step after THX app startup.

A year old comment is what saved me and a bunch of headache. Followed these steps, found what I needed to find, and it works now. Thanks!
