Can't connect my Razer Seiren Elite Microphone to my Mac Pro

Iv’e changed the connector (USB to mini USB) for a new one but it’s not an original Mac one, does it matter?

-Are you using a different cable or the one that came with the mic? We strongly suggest you use its cable and plug it into a 3.0 USB port. If you’re using a USB hub, try plugging it directly.
