Cannot add a calibration surface for Viper Mini like I can for Basilisk Ultimate?

Hello!
Yesterday I was able to add my hard mouse pad (custom but not a razer product) to synapse for my basilisk ultimate. However, I got a viper mini today and I do not see the option to add a custom surface and calibrate manually. Is this a software bug? I only see options for razer surfaces for the mini but really need to be able to use this mouse on my surface calibrated just as I was able to do with the Basilisk Ultimate. Can someone help? Thank you!

As far as I know, you should be able to add a custom surface just like all the other mice that support surface calibration on Synapse 3. Have you tried performing a clean installation of the app?

Yes sadly. I dont see the option to add the viper mini. Did razer software team accidentally forget us lil mouse peoples :frown_: XD. It is so strange cause I got the basilisk ultimate sitting here right next to it, and the custom surface shows up find for that one.

I will have to apologize for my previous statement. I reached out to our Engineers about this to make sure that I haven't missed any update. But I was advised that adding a custom surface is not available for the Viper Mini. This is because the sensor it is using does not have a surface analysis function. They found the optimal liftoff presets for Razer mats in the factory using specialized equipment, which is why they are available on the software.

Aw. Thats too bad. I'll have to stick with the basilisk ultimate I guess. I was really liking the viper mini's form factor, it felt better to me than the regular and viper ultimate. Any thoughts on if a high end sensor may be put in a future iteration of a mini razer mouse... or potentially a basilisk mini? There are many gamers out there with smaller hands.... I have normal size woman hands so the mini lines are a great form factor for me but I just dont feel happy settling for a lower end sensor that doesnt track as smoothly. I definitely notice the difference between the Basilisk ultimates sensor and the viper mini. That basilisk is CRISP, the size is just at my limits but I love the ergonomics and would actually be perfect with no complaints if it weren't for the size/weight that only becomes more noticeable in fast paced games..so I was switching between the viper mini and basilisk as needed. Was hoping surface calibration would help with this a little because the lift off was causing me a little bit of strange jerking when readjusting the mouse. Basilisk didnt do this to me. Both mice are still fairly new to me and I think I can happily stick with the basilisk ultimate but thats a tad sad to learn. Thanks for investigating this for me and responding!

The sensor on the mini is already pretty good, but I totally understand where you are coming from. I play a lot of FPS with a claw grip style, so I prefer small mice. The Basilisk Ultimate is on my desk as my work mouse, but I usually switch to the Viper Ultimate when I game.

I don't have any information bout future releases, but I think light and small form factors are gaining enough steam to merit more RND. Don't hesitate to shoot me a PM should you need anything else. *Thread locked.
