I have now bought my second razer chroma because the first one got shorted out because the molex cables are not standardized but I rewired the cable to be what should work for the chroma 2 grounds and a 5v connector and it still says that the dc connection is required ive repaired and updated synapse and have no clue what is wrong i am asking for someone to please help.

Did you follow this guide on how to set up the ARGB controller? PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and raise your concern with the relevant team for an advanced resolution. Thanks!
