Chroma features no longer work in iRacing

Hi, I've recently come across an issue with the keyboard lighting not working in iRacing. When I first started playing, the keyboard would light up red while on the grid, go white for last lap, flash white/black for finish, yellow for caution etc.. For some reason after a PC restart, it no longer works. I've tried to restart again, reinstalled Synapse and checked for updates. I've allowed it in the game and Synapse to be active. I have seen a Reddit where someone had the same issue. The suggested fix was to download an applet from the Synapse page, but I have not been able to find anything that helps me. Also the suggestion was never confirmed to fix the issue. Anyone able to offer a solution? Getting pretty annoyed and can't find any info anywhere. Cheers. Edit: It's a Deathstalker Chroma keyboard if it makes a difference.
