Computer Freezes When Mouse Wakes from Sleep Mode

Description:

At first, I thought the issue was caused by something else.

After careful testing, I discovered that the problem occurs when the mouse enters sleep mode after 1 minute.

When I move the mouse to wake it up, the mouse becomes unresponsive and freezes. However, the keyboard still works normally.

To fix this, I have to turn the mouse off and then on again, after which it functions normally.

I tried setting the mouse sleep timer to the maximum (30 minutes). After 30 minutes of inactivity, the system and mouse still work fine.

However, whenever the mouse goes to sleep and I move it to wake it up, the issue reoccurs: the mouse becomes unresponsive and freezes.

I tested this with two different Razer Viper V3 Pro mice, both running the latest firmware, and the issue persists on both.

System Information:

  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro

  • OS Version: 10.0.26100 N/A Build 26100

  • Mouse Models Tested: Razer Viper V3 Pro (2 units)

  • Firmware: Latest firmware installed on both mice

  • USB Ports Tested: Yes (including USB 2.0 and USB 3.0)

  • Razer Synapse Installed: Razer Synapse 4

Other Notes:

  • Only the mouse freezes; the keyboard continues to function.

  • The issue occurs intermittently when waking the mouse from sleep mode.

  • The issue happens regardless of which Viper V3 Pro is used.

I have exactly the same issue…  working with Bluetooth with the Mouse (the dongle is plugged in another PC):

  • Basilisk V3 PRO and Orichi V2
  • Windows 11 Enterprise
  • Laptop HP ZBOOK Fury 16
  • Tested without / With software Synapse installed.
  • The keyboard connected via Bluetooth works well.
  • Windows Update updated.

I love this mouse… but this behavior is bordering me a lot… beacuse I have to turn bluetooth off/on laptop first and then turn the mouse off/on… at least 5 or 10 times at day.
